Greetings! Looking to fix up a Marshall G30RCD
« on: July 11, 2020, 11:07:26 AM »
Hi and thanks for having me. I picked up a Marshall G30RCD from a guy that powers on but no sound. I broke her down and the input jack is busted off the PCB.

Yesterday I picked up a soldering gun and multimeter which I’ve never used before. I’m gonna start reading some tutorials here, order some parts, and get cracking.

Here’s a pic of the damage

You will have to remove the old solder from the PCB before you install the new jack.
You will need a solder sucker,
Or 'solder braid'.

Excellent, I’ll pick one of those up.

I’m having trouble finding the exact input jack I need. Brand says jalco  on it, once I figure out photos on this board I will post what it looks like.
