Peavey Musician 400 (1970's) Parallel Inputs
« on: February 28, 2019, 12:07:19 PM »
Hi there,
I've just got an old Peavey Musician 400. Can anyone tell me what the Parallel Inputs are for ?  as well as the blend knob between Distortion and Fuzz?

Many thanks,
Steve.

There are two channels in the amp, Normal and Effects.  PArallel input simply feeds the input signal to both.

You have in the Effects channel, a distortion circuit, and a fuzz circuit - two separate distortions.  The blend is just a panning control between the two.

From the Peavey web site, here is the owner manual:

As seen in schematic the preamps gone to mixer amplifier before the power amplifier
