Verellen Octals

Has anyone checked out (or better yet tried) the Verellen Octal solid state replacement "tubes"?
They claim to be a direct drop in replacement for octal power tubes in push-pull amps without paraphrase phase inverters.
The demo I heard wasnt imo, ideal to show off what they can do.
Interesting idea although they are currently $299 a pair!

I think it's cool but seems like they would have come up with something like this during the 60s

I'd like to see the inside components etc and a schematic of what's actually going on
