Old screw in fuse holder cap

Another typical noob problem

When I got two realistic amps one was missing the screw 🪛 in fuse cap  :grr

The existing fuse cap fit both so I used that one as needed.  I "fixed" one amp which was the one that had it missing and I gave the working amp back to the guy I got both amps from.

The amp I kept and want to use now doesn't have a 3ag ? fuse holder cap  :grr

I went out to my boat anchor ⚓ graveyard 🪦 and I swear every single one is the kind with ears and push and turn 90 degrees style  :grr

So I bought some cheep ass  xP ten for eight bucks complete fuse holders and the cap is a smaller diameter and doesn't fit  :grr

I then thought about finding the correct thread size and finding a correct normal steel bolt 🔩 and cutting it down and cutting the head off and then insulating it  :grr

The other option is just replace or bypass the original factory 🏭 fuse holder but it's got a bunch of junk around it I hate to mess with it.

Actually it's probably just heat shrink and stuff probably no big deal  :grr

Probably just heatshrink.  Always scrounge/save fusecaps, especially oddballs.  :)
They're usually not available separately, and there are just too many types to stock them all.  Usually you end up having to change the whole holder.

Yes sir thanks and HAPPY HOLIDAYS  :dbtu:

Perhaps ill advised but I'm dumb enough to still try and find one that fits  :lmao:

So I've got a few more NOS screw in type on the way.

So yeah I'm still rolling the dice Saga style  :tu:  :loco

I could be wrong but that video is from 1985 that would predate GnR welcome to the jungle by a few years.  I had always (perhaps incorrectly) that that was the first use of digital delay  xP
