Can anyone tell me what the '15' refers to on a 15A5K pot?

This is a snap in pot for a Fender Frontman 212R amp.
I understand the 'A' is Logarithmic and '5K' is the resistance.
Thanks!

The 15 is a modifier for the A.
The standard A is a specific Log taper, but there are variations such as 10A, 15A, etc.
Somewhere there is probably a graph of the various log tapers.

Seems to me, and I could be wrong, that it is a percentage.  Perhaps at mid point, the percentage of the full resistance.

That makes sense!
Thanks for the help.
