Adding Bluetooth to lm386amp
« on: August 01, 2018, 09:35:56 PM »
Has anyone heredone this? I’m sure someone has, but nothing came up on the search. Seeking a way to add Bluetooth to something like a ruby or noisy cricket type amp.

Thanks in advance!!

My son has one of these for his phone:

I would imagine it would not be that difficult to wire up a send jack from the amplifier preamp to a 3.5mm jack.

Good Question  :dbtu:
It would be pretty cool to be able to add a bluetooth module.
I see "how to" on installing something like that inside a radio.
Neat feature to play along to some music.

Here's an easy way to do it. Get one of these:

And just connect the headphone output from it into your LM386 amp. You can find them by looking up "bluetooth headphone adapter", and there's many different prices, sizes and shapes.

I've used one just like the one on the link, to have my Talk-A-Phone (tube-intercom-turned-guitar-amplifier) as a little "vintage boombox" to play some tunes when I'm relaxing at home, but I currently use it with a pair of Sony Ericsson Bass Reflex earbuds as my daily-driver bluetooth headset.
