Crazy bean soup???

I tell you what...   I have cooked chili competitively, even took first place at one festival.

Mostly just cook for the wife and me.  I'd share my chili with my neighbors here in the old folks apartment building, but I'd probably hurt them.  The ambulance is here often enough as it is.

I just bough a whole damned ham a few days ago, just so I'd have a good ham bone for my next pot of beans.  I made split pea soup the other day as well, that needs ham in it.

Cool  :tu:

Well, you can at least share the split pea soup with your neighbours, it's a great comfort food, specially in Winter, and to keep blood pressure levels reasonable, just do not add one grain of salt to the pot, the ham bone already has some absorbed anyway and will release most of it on boiling.

At the beginning I found it horrible to eat without salt, but in a few months I got used to it, we get used to anything I guess.

A friend said that: "salt is tongue bias" and I find it reasonable.
