Hi Ricky,

You maybe over thinking the issue,,a secondary of around 25/0/25 VAC will get you 35/0/35VDC,
Maybe around a couple of Amps on tap should do it.
These chips are not that big and I think only really deliver around 30 watts max into 8 Ohms.
I very much doubt you will get 50watts out of one but still a very good chip for medium size rig. :-X

I've forgotten the conversion but I'd guess a 50~60 VA rating will be plenty.

Uping the VA rating of tranny further would be wasting money.
If you want bigger power then you need to forget chip stuff and built discrete poweramp.

You only worry bout this Current stuff when building a 400 watt bass rig. :o

You may be right, I've ordered a transformer and associated bits. The worst that happens is it goes "POOF". Then I'll have to learn to repair it
