Hmmm...looks like the D in the model (GS-100D, GS-150D, etc.) may indicate a later version with Class D amplifier output stage. I also see some missing screws...previous trespassing indicator...

They drift in storage too...absorb humidity.

A once-retired engineer (working again to combat boredom) I crossed paths with, said it was standard to 'bake out' stored CC resistors to dry them before installing in (new) circuit boards.

Something similar is done with surface mount parts sometimes too...

I sold all my CC's on eBay, as advised...

Hello:

Anyone know if the GS100 is similar enough (the whole series GS-35 through GS-250 seem to lumped into one operating manual) to assess basics by?

I just picked up a GS100_ (forgot the suffix, maybe a D or an M...still in the car) for $5 at an electronics recycling store.

I tend to pick up things like that 'for parts' (mic transformers & XLR jacks) then decide I don't want to take them apart and it's a vicious cycle....or it's a modular design and I can (someday) re-purpose the modules.

Last similar acquisition was a TOA A706 and yesterday I mentally shifted their 'order' on the cannibalization list.

But this has potential as a 'keeper'...

Thank you
