I do have a question regarding the monitor Jack on the rear panel. What's the purpose? By that,  I mean, what type of monitor will work with it? Thanks, again.

Hi, all. I just wanted to report that the amp has been working for over 20 days now. It turns out there were a few solder joints in the power section that had come loose. Old age, I guess. Thank you all very much for your help. I' m now working on a tremolo pedal to use with it. :dbtu:

Thanks. I did a little more work on it. Changed the electrolytics to 10 uf . sounded a little better. right now I'm finishing my maestro super fuzz. I love that one. :dbtu:

hello there. I wired up a silicon pep box the other night and absolutely hated it. too dark and sounded mis biased. The electrolytic I used were 22 uf.  maybe I should try replacing them with 10 uf?  and try the 120 k resistor on the base of Q2?  Are they supposed to sound this bad?

Not yet. I'll get to it as soon as I can. The amp is in an awkward place right now and I'm fighting a cold. I'll get to it soon.

I appreciate all the help. It's been a while since I looked inside the amp, but none of the parts are labeled on the board. I do remember seeing the PC900 Mark, though. I tried several diodes, but each one caused the amp to sound distorted and the board got very hot.

Thanks.  I'll see what I can do.

thanks. I built a treble booster to use with it. that was supposed to say tremolo,  not tremors.  sorry about the typo. I believe one of the transistors in the tremors circuit blew out. I pushed the amp a bit too hard. it still works, but no tremolo.

thanks,Roly. I actually do have one of those cheap yellow multimeters. It's really all I have. I don't really see it as a piece of testing equipment.

thanks for the reply. the amp actually does sound pretty good, but a little too dark for my taste. it handles my bass extremely well. the tremors stopped working yesterday so I will have to repair that now. thanks again.

Hi all. I recently picked up this odd little amp at a local pawn shop for 10 bucks. I've never seen one like it before and I wonder if anyone on here knows anything about it. When was it built, and who built it ?
It looks to me like it's been modified at some point. It has a built-in tremble circuit that looks home made, and three instrument jacks.

Thanks again, Juan. I don't have any testing equipment, or any idea how to use any.

Thank you both for the replies. As soon as I can get my hands on the 1k A pot, I'll give it a try. I need to do some work on this one anyway. It acts like it has a couple of bad solder joints in it. Thanks again. :dbtu:

Thank you very much, Juan. I just downloaded it. Not sure how closely it matches mine, but it does have all the same jacks,  so I think that may be a good sign. Much appreciated.  :dbtu:

Thanks ,Juan. But there's two problems.  I don't have a schematic for this amp, and I can't download a PDF file. I really appreciate all your help.
