Does anybody has GV2(Guv'nor Plus) schematic? If you do,please send it to me, i am willing to make it as the preamp, and as the poweramp i will use mg100dfx power amp(i have the schematic,it's pretty simple).I think that is going to be closest JCM800 SS emulation.
If anybody is interested in making this project, please let me know?
Thanx
what's the difference between the Guv'nor and Guv'nor Plus?
It has more gain, and added deep boost(4x12cab sim).
My best search hit so far:

(See bottom links. The schematic is unfortunately partial).
Teemu, are you talkin bout this one? i think it only lacks of a few things than can be found on the BB" or JH schems.

Yes. That's the one I meant.
I found that too guys few days ago, but we will see.Can we make Jackhammer PCB?Lets ask someone who has it, to picture th PCB(from both sides). And than make the MG PA.

C'mon guys,no one wants to help buiding this project?
Dear Mensur. Thanks for posting these pictures, but I´m afraid they're not enough. Would you be so kind as to post your MG100 schematic? That would help a lot. Thanks.
Here is the schematic for the GV-2:

Here is the MG100 schematic:

Note: W1 and W2 are the speaker outputs.
I hope that somebody will help me with GV-2 Layout
Good Day! newbie here ! ;)
Hi! im really want to make this power amp! but im confused~ :loco i dont really understand the schematic . . example (http://img368.imageshack.us/f/marshallln2.jpg/) whats that 1 - 15? connect the 1 : 1 2: 2 - 15:15? and whats the "pain " means? how can we power this thing?
and lastly mensur have you build this?
Sorry its 3 years from now not too old but resourceful :D
Hi askwho69. Welcome to the forum.
Let me try to answer your question.
I can see in the MG squematics posted here, that V+ comes from CN3 at 13,14 and 15 pins. In the same way, V- comes from 10,11 and 12 pins.
If you check the TDA7293 Datasheet (http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet2/9/0ozxelyhtgfl5jsx9108fj3sqq3y.pdf) , in the first page, you´ll see that the chip receive V+ at 7 and 13 pins and V- at 8 and 15 pins.
So, if you connect CN3 with CN1 as you says (1-1, 2-2, ...., 15-15) you´ll routing V+ and V- to the right pins of the chip.
Hope help.
Regards.
Hi askwho.
"PA in" means power amp input.
C1 ... C15 refers to a 15 pin connector; some of those pins carry power, as Polo16 told you, others carry signal, audio, etc.
Now that this is clear, *do not build this amplifier*.
It's poorly designed, very unreliable, and burns so much that Marshall had to mount it on a small plug-in board (hence the need for the 15 pin connectors) so the musician can repair itself .... by buying and plugging in a new board, that is.
Search within this Forum for "Chipamps", they sell amp kits (board and all parts, except power transformer) which will help you build one.
In fact, that Marshall *is* a chip amp, but stressed way beyond what it can really deliver.
You don't want that.
There are also many other kit suppliers; "Vellemans" comes to mind, you'll find others.
Good luck with your build and feel free to ask for advice.
wow thanks for the answers its very reliable :D by the way thank you for welcoming me and this is a nice forum! :D
I'll try search for more reliable amp :D
my goal is to build 60 - 100 watts guitar amp for personal use :D

Are you still interested in the Jackhammer PCB images? If so, I'll try to take some pics tomorrow, but it probably really doesn't sound any better tan the GV-2. In fact, I really don't like the sound that much without putting an eq in front of the Jackhammer.
I love jackhammer! :D
