Title: 94-92-01 9508 Transformer Replacement
Post by: hankspencer on February 06, 2026, 03:53:43 PM
I am trying to find a replacement transformer for my Crate GX130C, but am struggling to find an exact match.  Can anyone offer a suggestion on where to find, or possibly a compatible alternative?  The current transformer is a S L M E 94-92-01 9508

Thanks for any help!

Schematic attached.
If you can't find the factory part, you will have to find something that will fit in the allowed space, and drill new holes for it.
Electronically, it's fairly simple as it only has one set of windings to create +/-40V supply rails.

I have 94-116-01 & 94-011-1 SLME original transformers. I once researched which amps these belong to and I think one is a GX100 or something. The other one might be a GLX model. I bet they at least fit in place. I have one of each. Note that when I say "fit" I mean form factor.
