Despite it's name the new EVH 5150III Hypersonic 6L6 doesn't actually have any 6L6 (or other) tubes inside. Just like the Fender Tonemaster amps, this combo is designed to look and sound as close to an exact replica to the original tube version as possible. According to the article they have done a great job, and it is much lighter as well.
Pricing is listed as 1,549 euros which converts to about $1,800 USD.
