I decided to do an experiment looking at resistance ratios and see if it held up in real life.
I started to acquire resistor pairs of 10:1
then apply voltage and check voltage at the node

I'm impressed with the results and attribute any variances to the resistors used.
For some reason the 100 ohm resistor died.
