Title: Laney or fender
Post by: jeff6898 on December 01, 2024, 02:35:35 PM
Beginner player here. Like 60s 70s and 80s rock. Trying to decide between the

 Laney Lionheart Foundry LF60-112 or
 Fender Champion 100

  Any input?

Hello sir welcome to the forum  :tu:

Being totally unfamiliar with either I watched a few videos they seem to both be nice amps but I would pick the Laney and also pick the lower wattage amp as well.  100w seems like a lot to me but I don't play out.

These days they have one and two watt amps that sound killer.

But whatever you do just enjoy the search lots of great stuff used out there as well.

I would go with the Fender Champion 100.
2x12, FX galore, voicing.
And they sound just as good whether played soft or loud.

These are both on my short list of amps I would like to try out.  From (a lot of) videos I have listened to though, as wells as aesthetics, size, and specs in general, I feel like the Laney LF60-112 is the clear winner.  Such a rocking amp!
