Title: Volume low on Alesis Wildfire 60 after replacing input jack
Post by: murphzerg on March 01, 2012, 07:05:55 PM
Hi All,

This is the first time I am posting on this board, I am hoping you all can help me out. I had to replace the input jack on an Alesis Wildfire 60 and now the volume is about 20% of what it was originally. I have verified the connections. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Check over your soldering.  It sounds like you could either have a bad connection or a shorted connection (glob of solder touching two or more things instead of just the one connection it should have).

Good advice ^^^^^

Question:  did you install the exact same type jack or did you rewire for some other jack?
