Title: Help! Amp experts
Post by: bili9bass on August 31, 2010, 11:26:15 PM
I have a Peavey Max 115 bass amp.Its about 3 years old,I use the send/cd input to play my ipod through the amp as a backing track. The thing is i pluged my ipod in the headphone input instead by mistake and now the amp dosent work. The amp turns on but I get no sound from my bass and there is a loud pop every 2-4 seconds. Is this something that can be repaired or should I just but another amp? :'(

If anything, that should have killed your IPhone, not your amp.
Can you still hear through headphones?
There is a leaf switch in the headphone jack which cuts the speaker ground, squirt a little WD40 in it and plug in-out repeatedly to loosen it.
*Where* do you hear that loud click, through the loudspeaker, headphones or mechanically, "in the air"?
