Title: Ampeg SS150 volume issue
Post by: Imaginecustom on June 11, 2010, 12:31:28 PM
Hey, new to the forum here. I figured this was the best place to answer my question. I just received my ss150 amp in the mail from GC. Plugged her in, turned her on and got the typical pop when you turn on ss amps(atleast my randall rg100xp does that). But i have to crank it on either channel to get a sound, and when i do it sounds very thin. Ideas?? I have done some work on amps before but this one is baffling me.

As Enzo always suggests, start by plugging a good known cable from loop send to loop receive.

OK, the patch cable worked. but it seems channel one is fine but ch2 has got issues. it sounds fizzy and thin, louder but terrible. The ch1 is great, no issues.
