Title: crate gx-130c, how does it compare?
Post by: Anthrax Zygote on February 08, 2010, 09:18:23 AM
i play grind/death metal and i have an ampeg vh-150 and an ampeg ss-150 that i run either into two marshall 1960 cabs or stereo into one cab with an a/b/y. ive been really curious about a crate gx-130c and was wondering if anybody here has one or has played one before. i hear they use the same preamp but ive never been able to confirm it...

if its anything like my ampegs i'd like to know because itll be next on my acquisitions list for sure!
by the way, i know about the gt3500 and the gtx3500 and the vtx series. i dont like those very much but from what i understand the gx-130c is a MUCH closer copy of the ampeg circuit.
