I got a marshall mg30dfx from a friend of mine for like 50 bucks. here's the problem with it, The clean channel is very low, almost to the point you cant hear it. And the Overdrive channel works except there is no distortion lol. all the effects work but there's no distortion.. help me out guys, and leave it in idiot terms lol

Sounds to me like the amp isn't getting enough signal from your guitar.  First, I know this sounds dumb, but check that your guitar is turned all the way up.  Second, I'd clean the input jack of the amp.  Use a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and clean real good in there, blow it out then give that a try and let us know what happened.  Good luck!
