hi,
i suppose that many of you have seen this limiter design  http://sound.westhost.com/project67.htm  - does
anybody have any experience with this circuit?

aah, yes the application would be good to know. in this case it's a limiter in front of a PA ( probably tda 2030) as i'm planning to build a small practice amp.
the preamp is going to be something with 2 jfet- stages with moderate gain.
what i found interesting was that the article mentions methods of controling harmonic distortion in that type
of circuit  ;) -so i  wonder if someone has explored that before?

I believe this would be a good limiter between a preamp and an amp however it would be nice to be able to adjust the maximum output voltage by a pot or something so you could set it just below the point that a chipamp clips.

hi,
using a pot or a voltage divider would be very nice for sure :)  if you can't see anything that makes this thing completely unuseable for guitar i'll just try it out when have some free time.
