The first time I checked voltages, I was not checking across the pins, I was grounded and pin testing. The instructions weren't clear at all on that process.

Got my Mojo Princeton Reverb kit assembled yesterday. I've got the instructions for startup testing and to check A/C voltage on pins 4,5 and 9 on the preamp tube socket pins. I'm getting around 3.5-3.7 VAC. Mojo doesn't include the number I should be looking for. The Stewmac kit instructions I looked at say 5-7 VAC. Is my voltage way wrong? If so, what should I be looking for to fix?

ETA: I was just told by Mojo I'm supposed to be reading across 4/5 and 9. When I check that way, I get 0 volts. Any ideas?

ETAA: LOL after calling Fluke and talking to the lady, I'm told my old 88 is obsolete is common for the AC side failing. I'm sending it out to be replaced with the new model at a discounted price. In the mean time I pulled out a spare Fluke 115 and my voltage is 6.8 VAC. I'm hoping this is good and I can put the tubes in and check the high voltage side. This should be DC, I believe.

Anybody have anything for this? It's the little one, 7-100 I think?
Anyway my input jack drops out when I wiggle the cable. I tried calling Pignose and they have not called me back. The jack doesn't look normal to me.
I emailed a few places and they don't recognize it to replace it.

I've been fooling around with guitar since about 2000. My playing should be better, but I'm trying to get back into it.
When I was deployed to Iraq in 2004 I bought some gear to ship to my house in the States.
I've a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and US Masters dual humbucker strat style guitar.
I haven't had any amp issues yet, but I went down the rabbit hole reading about their common issues.
I pulled the cover and I don't see any caps leaking or burned/hot spots on the PCB. I don't want to have issues down the road, so I'm thinking about selling it for something else. I've read about the Luigi mod and some other parts kit upgrades.
I am drawn to rock/blues and like the old style of Fender tone. I don't perform, and want something smallish for the house.
I'd really like to do the Luigi board, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that level of work right now. I recently was laid off work (auto tech for 10 years) and am now going back to school full time. I also don't know of any good shops around here (Vancouver, WA) that I would trust or be able to afford. Looking for suggestions if you have any.
What do you all think? Should I sell this and look for something else? I don't have a lot of money to add to the cost of something else, so what I sell it for would pretty much determine my budget.
