Title: Dean Markley K-15 question
Post by: meffcio on December 20, 2015, 05:21:57 PM
I have a simple question regarding Dean Markley K-15 amplifier, schematics here: http://www.deanmarkley.com/Info/LegacyAmps/Schematics/D1508.pdf
I'd like to get rid of the footswitch option, but I think I don't fully understand the schematic. I mean - does C4 really float when drive is engaged?
Here's a schematic I started drawing based on the original.

Do you have further intentions?  I am not sure why we need to get rid of the footswitch function, can't we just not use it?

yes, they left C4 dangling when off.  That has the potential to pop when switching back to it, though DC levels should be all close to zero all around it.  So it may not be an issue.
