Title: Crate GFX-15 input jack is jacked
Post by: Ghost Fish on November 17, 2009, 02:16:23 AM
Hi,

looks like I need to replace the1/4 inch input jack on this lil guy, basically it looks worn out in comparison to the other 2 jacks(that i don't use).

I'm not sure which kind of jack to buy though, switched or unswitched.
switched

unswitched

I'm not sure what the difference is :-\

does any of this sound right? I really have no idea what I'm doing, not that it will stop me...

thanks!

Is your jack like the one posted?
How many pins does it have?
Is it directly soldered to the PCB (its pins passing through holes there), or joined with some wire?
Post a couple pictures.
Do you *really* need to replace it?
Good luck.
