Hello All,
here's the challenge... Vibration Technology Ltd. (VT) Guitar Amp VR-140
Will not power on.
I cannot find any skits, previous owner information, or company information beyond the most basic details.
Can anyone help me get off the ground ?
Is the amp powering on at all? If it has a fuse have you checked it?
It is not powering on at all. It is missing a 3A Slo-Blo fuse in the back. I just purchased one, although the fuse cover/cap is missing. I will need to find a cap to secure the fuse. I am worried if I replace the fuse, it will not solve the problem because I assume the fuse blew due to a issue with the power. I will have to test it out.
If you plan on repairing it yourself I would start by making a short check lamp (standard light bulb wired in series) See picture.
Mount the items on a small board and insulate all wiring by using electrical boxes to not be exposed to high voltage/current.
start at a 60 watt buld and if it glows bright you have a short and the troubleshooting fun begins.
