@Polo16mi - your first link comes up as "403 Forbidden" to me, the second as a page loading problem...

Hi thicks211, welcome to the forum.

Will be very usefull for help you if you take a couple of pictures at the part of your amp that you have doubt, and upload it here.

Maybe you can find for free o very cheap at a service pc technician, a pc power cord and a pc power supply ac input connector for a dead power supply.

I thinking perhaps you can use a combo like this:

Note the input conector at side of switch.

had used these parts in an amp. Very cheap and worked very well :tu:

1M in parallel with 22k is pretty near 22k, so AC talking, is same thing. Need take note of high pass filter.

Cant say nothing about 2dn example.

that i learned for coupling caps, is that they decouple the DC component for the signal, and depend of the value of the cap, they filter specific frecuency.

At first circuit that you show, 1M resistor present an 1M input impedance for Vin source. Then, 2.2uf and R2 in group, present a DC decouple and a high pass filter. (cut signals below 3.3Khz )

2N5458 and MPF102 are equivalent, you can use it. Looks like 2N5484 too. I suggest you search his datasheets at http://www.datasheetcatalog.net

Here are:

2N5484
2N5458
MPF102

I used MPF102 with pretty good success, in ROG circuits. Dont liked how they circuits works, but MPF102 do its job.

Hi there:

I want to modify a sansamps gt2 clone tonestack. It has a baxandall tone control with 2 bands and i want modify it to 3 bands.

I thinking take a look to some commercial solid state amps, to see how they implemented it.

Somebody of you remember some model like that?

Ah !!! , the "midgets" are my kids ... and the right size for their age.
As you see, I take them everywhere (if possible), to see what "Dad's work" is about.

I would love to be "uncle polo"  :P  also to see what "dad´s work" is about.

Sorry about refloat this post so lately, but making kinda research about implementing a footswitch change channel for my amp.

I wondering if best to use relays for it, or digital IC, or something else?

What you think about it?

I guess that using relays will produces a "pop" noise when you make a change of channel. I right? or is easy to avoid it?

Thanks for our responses.

JM, i will unmount it, and double check that. However, i note little (not none) change of bass as i move the pot. Maybe some component not good.

BTW, hash are not trouble for now. Lots of tons of them has removed. The city looks like before the vulcano eruption. We survived it. Poor amount of job for the people is the real problem now. We need tourism return quickly, and so, wheel turn again.

Here a sample picture. The upper before, the other, now.

Hi there:

I already mounted an amp, using a SansAmp clone as a preamp and a LM3886 as an amp.

I very happy with results. I sound very good.

Im unhappy just with the fact that the bass tone control dont change so much the sound.

It has a baxandall tone control as you can see in the pdf file that attached.

I wondering which mod can i make for obtain better response on bass control variation?

May i suggest you to check your guitar and cable in other amp, to make sure they are ok?

Check your amp input jack, maybe rusty or dirty, and no good contact.

If not, stay around, there are amp repair masters here.

Hope help.
