Quick question for you... I moved to Europe, and would like to use my amp without a stepdown transformer.

In your opinion, is it easy to find a transformer for 220/240v for this thing?

Thanks.

My first build was something called the 'Noisy Cricket'.  It could work on a 9V, but I opted to use a Boss power supply.  Sounds great, and gets a little dirty as your turn it up.

I once took it to an audition with a little 1x8 Orange cab. I know it's just one watt (tops), but I thought it was going to be a low-key audition. The guy was pumping backing tracks through a HUGE PA.  I pretty much pegged that little thing, and it just about kept up.  However, he said he wanted me to play 'cleaner'... I told him to turn down his PA :)

Look it up. Fun little amp to build.

I think I have a short demo on YouTube of me using it. But, I used a dirt box the whole time..

Thanks. I wonder why my doesn't say that on the back...   But, 40 W is all I need...  Appreciate it.

The tag on the back of my Nifty Fifty (for 120 V mains) states the power consumption is 40 W and it's fused at 500 mA.  The power will remain the same, and (as Jazz P Bass stated) the current draw will be half.

I am SO happy to see a current discussion (no pun intended) about this amp.

I just moved to Europe, and powering my amps has become an issue. I have a big step-down transformer coming, but, I would like to know.... What is the current draw for this amplifier in watts????  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how many watts it needs as to not over-tax my other step down transformers?
