So I'm fixing a broken jack on a Hartke lh1000 bass amp.

Original broken jack:

I've looked everwhere online and all I can find is this one:

So they look pretty much the same except for the metal sleeve on the original. The amp I'm fixing is a hartke and the website says this part is for hartke amps.

I'm not sure, does that metal sleeve actually do anything different?

Do you think it will be fine using this?

I believe It would work. The pin layout, and everything looks the same. The metal sleeve you mention doesn't make a difference, they will both function the same. The only real difference is just the barrel part of the jack sticks out the front more on the newer one. I don't think that would be a problem though.

That metal sleeve is grounding the jack wherever it's bolted to the chassis.
And that "protruding nose" is the part that's torn away/missing in the original jack.
What's most important is the pinout so it matches the PCB holes.
The metal sleeve function can be replaced easily with a piece of wire.
