Guys, have gone thru the basic trouble shooting as far as checking dry solder joints, cleaning pots, checking for loose wires also basic signal tracking but i just cant get my amp to work again.  :'( anyway heres how the problem was caused, Nephew thought he would run his Playstation thru the input of my Guitar amp - resulting in little or no sound when guitar was plugged back in to the input >:(.can someone please help.power indicator light is on,it hums as per normal but there no sound when i touch the "hot" terminal on the lead when plugged into the input( lead works fine) if the output voltage from the Playstation was to excessive, which componants would have failed and which ones should i replace. :(.cheers

Amplifier Discussion / 100 watt MOSFET (Alron)

Hi Guys, i am glad i came across this forum as i am in need of some help with an amp that refuses to work after one of my nephews plugged his Playstation in to the Guitar input :loco jack.i thought a simple "replace the fuse" repair would fix the problem, but i think it requires a more detailed investigation :'(.I do understand that perhaps the voltage from the Playstation may have cooked some of the componants of the input circuitry as the power indicator light stills goes.i would be grateful for any testing procedure or information that i could help me with this.by the way i think the amp is an "Alron - Rebel" New Zealand made (i think!).cheers :tu:
