If you are just wanting it to be louder use a 4 ohm speaker or parallel 2  4 ohms down to 2 ohms , do not drop below 2 ohms , Solid State or Tube amps don't not like speakers below 2 ohms are above 16 Ohms.

I use class A amps , however as teemuk stated they suck much power for a realtivly low output power. However, they are the cleanest amps(what goes in comes out, just LOUDER).

nothin to it bro

add a line out (if it doesn't have 1) to the tube amp and go head in on the SS Fender. Simple fix , output of 5 watts into the ffects loop is way to high.

it's a lot cleaner than most Fender amps bro.
how does it's sound?

lmao-check out a Peavey Musician 400 Series B , it comes reall close to tube sound(real close).

If you want a rock solid SS amp with balls buy the MG100 or a Valvestat, if you want a good affordable tube unit(metalhead get real , there;s a reason why most pro's use tube amps, and durablity give me a break) buy a Peavey Windsor($399) or a Valveking(around $699)

check the 1st resistor off the input jack , then the 1st transistor or opamp.

sure it will work in theory , guitar impedance's are high and most opamps are as well , most amps(guitar & bass)look for a 8-18k input impedance.

looks like a solid circuit for what your wanting to do , as the best thing I see about it is that it looks simple, the more links to your signal chain the more problems you will have( just something to think about).

The orginal speaks for the amp are now longer made by Celestion all of them are 8 and 16 ohm now. IMHO , retro fit the amp , the thing when it was new was poor at best.

P.S. the 2ohm output was a common thing for older amp (trying to get more from less) most solid state amps can handle those low impedances.

Stick a ohm meter on the puppy (this won't really give your the impedance , but it's close enough). the wattage of the speaker , it's safe to say if is smaller that 3 inch's is less than 15watts, other than that , I couldn't be of any help there.

I would have to say the Valvestat, and just about all of the Peavey equipment, there are tons of great SS amps. The one I still have and use the most(mostly in my shop to mess with the guy's) is my old Peavey Stereo Chorus 400.

lol- I think Kaman sold it's music division to Fender 10 or 11 years ago.
lmao-Fender or Gibson owns just about all of the smaller compamies these days.
