Cool.  Two things I'd like to see.

1. A way to set how many times it "cycles" through the sweep.

2. A way to stop it mid cycle.

;)

EDIT

in this beta, all done ? any bug ?

Software / Pink Nois V1.0.1
February 18, 2013, 10:32:24 PM
Pink noise audio generator for Windows (based on the guidelines suggested by Stanford University), the executable contains data for the comparision (test the 'reference' in real-time)...is a little bulky... about 40 MB!

Download :

EDIT
to do this my code utilize the audio engine written by (http://www.music.mcgill.ca/ ~ gary /) by using the class WINDOWS_DS (Microsoft Direct Sound API) ...are
under the Microsoft Windows specification for both HW and OS)

For the logic that generates all... i've get infos on pages like this (using where possible a new generation algorithms ...) https://ccrma.stanford.edu/ ~ jos / filters /  . :)

An Architect friend of mine *hates* AutoCad.
Why?
She says : "I've *just* gotten to manage it smoothly .... and the m***f*****s put out a new version !!!!"
"And they do that every year!!!!!"

So dear CrisBonis, thanks for your prodigious output but please don't worry if we can't keep up with it !!! :)  :)  :)

The new SpegBeat (added/updated @ same .zip) ....GET audio from sound card....DO FFT...in REAL-TIME...extracts the beat and PLOT in 1024 x 600... ALL this in SYNCRO with the input music...AutoCad ?   :lmao:

A cross between a spectrum analyzer and a sonogram,
will only accept signals from the inputs of the sound card in real-time,
64-bit compiled internally relies on the engine input of Windows.

Sorry Cris, 110Mb is too fat for me.

and your max MB are...  ? :cheesy: ?

EDIT
This is "REFERENCE" ...and the sound resolution used is the minimum to get the REFERENCE attribute, and this requires a lot of space...  ::) i can make a LITE version with halved time for any samples...  ???

After several tests gone wrong ... ;)... i have rewrote the code from the the latest version of TGEN, i have did some tests with this new version, maybe can be improved in some aspects, but i think that is it the right direction...

Have Fun.   :)
