Hi all - looks like a nice place for me go get some good info as I undertake a new project.

I have a poorly made cigar box guitar amp that I want improve upon and learn a few things.

1st question are resources: can anyone point me to a US based web shop that has the miscellaneous electronic parts and pieces needed. Looking for a place that has a phone number so I can ask my dumb questions to a human if needed! I know there are a million of them....so good word of mouth reference will help me out.

The speaker in this thing is an 8 Ohm 1w speaker that cost about a dollar. Is it possible to find a place that has a similar speaker that is of some quality? This amp will be running off of a 9v battery or 9v power supply.

That should get me started on my journey. Looking forward to learning from you!
