Title: Measuring Resistor Noise
Post by: Trepan on July 08, 2007, 09:29:51 PM
Hi all,

Just got my July 2007 edition of Nuts & Volts Magazine.  There's an article in it about how to build what they are calling the 'JCan'.  You can use it to measure "Johnson" thermal noise through resistors.  It also allows for parallel and series combinations of resistors to be tested.

It's a 9-page article and seems pretty in-depth.  I'm not an expert on the subject by any means but it appears to be a very useful tool indeed.

I'd just post the article but I'm not sure about the legal implications of that, you might want to check out a copy at your local magazine store.
