Using a JC120 as preamp for electric bass - dummy speaker load?

Hello!

I am planning on using my JC120 as a preamp to record electric bass. Obviously this means I will have to disconnect the speakers.
I am wondering what kind of resistors I should use as a dummy load, if necessary at all?

Being that the JC 120 is a solid state amplifier, there is not any need for a dummy load if you disconnect the speakers.

Would a SansAmp be a less cumbersome solution? A lot of bass players swear by them.

Maybe, although I know I wasn't terribly fond of the Sansamp GT2 I tried (with electric guitar).  A few good sounds could be had, but there was so much adjustment available that a whole entire host of bad or "ok" sounds were there.
Life is what you make it.
