Title: buying new amp
Post by: dinosaur54 on April 10, 2014, 08:45:22 PM
Newbie here and first post! I am going to buy an old Peavy Studio Pro 40.  Anyone familiar?  Just for home, no gigging.  BTW, very cool community you have here!  I can't wait to get into it more!  Thanks for any help.

It is very typical of the Peavey 1980s amps.  It will be more than loud enough.

If this is the case, it will also be fairly heavy but probably outlast your house.

Picked it off for cheap!  All original I think and it really honks!  Pots need cleaning, but box is pretty clean overall.  After I touch it up and blast the pots I will be off to the amp thread for some advice about simple mods if one this size is worth it.
