Title: Fender Cyber Champ 1X12 Combo Mods
Post by: televarious on May 21, 2014, 05:20:37 AM
Hi Guys, I'm new here. Thanks for the great and fascinating reads.

I have a couple of the Fender Cyber Champs (yeah two of them, it was a phase where anything I liked I wanted two) which I like quite well. I enjoy the tones these are able to produce and love the hum reduction circuit that kills single coil and other types of hum with almost no tone suck.

I wish there was an effects loop and external speaker output. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these amps or any of the cyber line.

Another curiosity I have is its ability or lack thereof to handle lower impedance than the standard 8 ohm Celestion G12H100 on board. It seems to me there is plenty of power on tap (65W) to push a cab but some of my cabs are 4 ohm.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate any input you may have.

If they don´t specifically state so, don´t plug 4 ohm speakers there.
