I have just finished one works well for what it it ! Been using these chips for years and makes a great little tool to have.im working on a new layout with more control over the unit will post my findings! The first one will be with a small eq built in ! More later .

I look forward to seeing your new design. The LM386 is a very interesting amp on a chip that we all love.
