Gamma G Series - The rock-solid solid-state amps we've been looking for?

Acoustic Amplification has released a new sub-brand, Gamma.  Launching the new brand are the G25 and G50 guitar amplifiers.  They both have 2 channels, with the second channel featuring four selectable gain settings.  Both amplifiers use all new Gamma True Blue series speakers with the G25 sporting a 10" and the G50 a 12".  Other than speaker size and wattage (G25 is 25 watts and G50 is 50 watts), the amps are identical.  Both amps also include 1/8" stereo aux input, bluetooth input, and 1/4" footswitch at the rear (footswitch sold separately).

So, are these the analog amps we've all been looking for?  For me, it's close in many ways.  I love that they put so much engineering time into the speakers and overall quality of the amps.  I also love the simplicity.  Honestly though, I would prefer to get rid of the 4 voices and choose one (probably rock) to keep that part simple.  I would also recommend having an effects loop at the rear and/or including on-board reverb.

Still, with an MSRP of $139 and $199 USD for the G25 and G50 respectively, it is a whole lot of amp for the money.

still curious about seeing a schematic for either G25 or G50. my previous request (a year ago or so) was met with sarcasm and mild derision, though the request was sincere and academically motivated. if anyone has the schematic pls post it! - tia, Will

The sarcasm and derision was not directed at your request at all, rather the amp marketing.
At it's price point, I can't see the schematic ever becoming available.  I would think if they are servicing under warranty at all, it would be board swap.  But most likely, during warranty the whole amps are replaced, like amps on the Fender 'do not repair' list.

For parts, their support page says: 'Replacement parts are not currently offered for our amplifiers'.

All that being said, I do see a service manual for the Acoustic Control B600 at electrotanya, so maybe schematics are available to official service centers, if there are any (service centers).

More than likely it would need to be reverse engineered.  I'm not expecting any ground breaking circuits in here though.  Quite frankly, I'm expecting a simple DSP unit doing most of the heavy lifting.  Other than that, it's probably fed by a basic preamp, and then maybe a standard tone stack (but maybe DSP changes for tone stack), and then into a chip amp.

To be clear though, I don't see a problem with this assuming it sounds good and works well.  It could be the basic amp that a lot of people are looking for.  A good solid platform with reasonable wattage and speaker/cabinet size for good tones and projection.
