I have a TA17 in my storage unit.
Just checked wired amp price , today:
Quote$432.00 in 1968 had the same buying power as $3,076.66 in 2017
Annual inflation over this period was about 4.09%
Apply same 7.12 : 1 correction factor to speaker cabinets.
In fact real Inflation value is quite higher, for various reasons, from Political to Technological , so updated price would have been even higher than calculated.
When I was in high school, (mid 70's) a guy in my music class had one of those Heathkit amps with the matching speaker cab.
He built the kit.
It was LOUD!
I guess I got the tail end of the Heathkit era.
Was there anything electronic that heathkit did not provide a kit for?
I'd go back in time just to get heathkit stuff.
HEATHKIT FANS
Heathkit is once again alive! The company has resurrected itself and is once again in business in California, USA. Please see their new website for more information and to see what kits are now available.
