So just open it up and check for unhooked springs.

Any precautions?

Found this article in an old electronics magazine I have. Its all about how Transistors work, How they are made and what they do.

The link is avaliable here http://haggardfx.com/forum/index.php?topic=54.0

Amplifier Discussion / LM3886 Progress
June 22, 2006, 03:15:27 AM
My LM3886 kit is in progress, I will post some pictures soon. Both PCBs a populated

I have a heatsink, Transformer, Fuse and PCB stands coming on monday.

Will update once I do some more.

One question though, For the offboard wiring should I use PC stakes? My offboard wiring is pretty terrible, I leave to much wire exposed on the upside of the PCB and it bends and snaps, Any pointers?

Thanks a few questions though.

-Where would you put that mid control in the circuit

-What is the highest voltage the flipster can take

-Will this Run Off Groove design be loud enough for the purposes that I want to use it for

Thanks

Just got my kit, Thanks Joe and Thanks Brian.

Just wondering on these things

-Which do I build, Whats the difference between the standard confiuration and the feedback capacitor

-What rating and voltage should the on/off switch have and where does it goe i.e. before or after the transformer

-What kind of fuse, 2A 3AG or M205 or Ceramic Fuses.

Thanks

One other thing, I want to use the flipster as the preamp and power it from a different transformer, What is the safest way to hook two transformers up to one ac power supply.

Also is this power supply regulated?

Sweet I think that will be the go then, Can you add a mid pot to the flipster.

And does anyone know what the mid contour switch on the fender FM65R changes, It sounds way better with it on, I always use it

If I use a flipster as A preamp on a LM3886 Poweramp, What is the best voltage to run it at, I would need a seperate transformer wouldnt I?

Would It have to be a toroid or will a normal transformer do?
