Does anyone know of a debugging guide for solid state amps similar to: http://www.geofex.com/ampdbug/ampdebug.htm I have a Traynor pm 300 that has really low output. Any idea what could be wrong? Anyone have the schematic?

Thanks,
Zack

Most of tube and SS amp troubleshooting theory should be interchangeable. Then there's stuff like

http://sound.westhost.com/troubleshooting.htm

http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/tshoot.htm

Jack Darr's old book has a pretty tight focus on troubleshooting amps so it might be helpful as a start as well. Unfortunately it's a bit too old and only explains how some pretty basic circuits function.

This is the only good archive of Traynor amp schematics I know - aside schematic heaven:

http://www.lynx.bc.ca/~jc/traynorSchmArchive.html

If it's not there then you might have to order the schematic from somewhere.
