Hi there, I`ve already posted this build on a different forum and thought this forum might be more apropriate!

First of, I`ve bought a Fender Champ DIY kit in which I`ll build a head and a speaker cab!
I`ve already finished the head cab and here you see how it came to life..

Clamps come in handy..

Here you see the speaker cabinet..

glued this 1X2 to it to make it more solid:)

Kinda hard to hold it while taking shots!

Grinded all the edges and it`s getting there!

I didnt bother putting up images of each coat of stain so here it is with 3 coats of red/brown mahogny teac-something!

And here I added two coats of clear.. shiny!!

And then the head cab was done! I`ve added a handle on top of it and a Champ logo is on the way (eaby)..

What I`m making here is the input jack plate for the speaker cabinet!

Used a hobby stamp kit and it came out pretty nostalgic!

50s anyone?? :P

btw, here is the amp I`m waiting for!

as you can see the faceplate got no writing on it so I`m going to use the hobby stamp here too!

Question, What do you think if I paint the faceplate and the entire chassis in gold? kinda marshall style.. vintage!

Congratulations on your fine work.
Keep posting.

Progress!

Have a look :D  looks more like a piece of funriture than a amp :P I`ve decided the faceplate is going to be gold with black writing!
