Title: 9 Volt Battery Life With LM386?
Post by: RickRandom on March 14, 2009, 02:42:56 PM
How long will an average 9 volt alkaline battery run an LM386-based amp?  I've been using a 9v wall wart but I'm about to convert the amp to battery power for more portability.  Adding a 9 volt battery clip is the easiest mod, but if the battery life is going to be really bad I think I can find a way to cram a 6 AA battery holder into the box.

It depends how loud you play. I use a 9V battery and the battery life is rather long. Try it, you can chance the battery setup later if needed.
