Looking again at the Regent, I see some stages have a resistor from the + supply to the output pin.  I'm not sure why they are doing this, it's not required with a split supply, ends up putting DC on the output pin which then requires a DC blocking cap.
I wonder if they translated the circuit from a single ended supply and didn't know what to do?   ???

And here's some more. There are 4 power transistors there, KD3773, which makes me think someone modified or repaired it.
