h&h ma100,disturbing loud sound.

Does anyone know what might cause a loud noise ,(and it is not my guitar playing) like heavy rubble sliding down a corrugated roof sheet.with very little guitar sound getting through,i turned of amp as soon as i heard it.
I know it is not the filter cap,s as i have just renewed them.
