Title: doubt about headphone out
Post by: noobiePT on March 07, 2008, 05:58:02 AM
Hey, i've build a ruby amp some time ago, but now i wanted to used it too drive some headphones. my doubt is if i connected "directly" the ruby to some headphones would i "kill" the speaker?? do i have to in some way soften the signal? i wanted to control also the distortion so the connection would be made after the chip... dont know if im making any sense..  :D
thanks all

On one Little Gem I wired in a resistor in series with the headphones to soften the signal, on the other I just made sure I turned the volume down.  It'll blow your head clean off if you crank it with headphones on   :tu:
