Which Ampeg? Few months ago I downloaded every semi-new Ampeg/Crate amplifier schematic from the Saint Luis Music site. It seems to be closed now. I don't have the archive at hand now but I recall most of the Ampeg stuff was tube.

keep in mind that this preamp is made by a bass player, not just
an amp emu. It's made to work at +-15v. So you'll have all the clean sound and power you want.
