Honey Amp / Re: Power supply suggestions

All right, I am going to make a suggestion for all of us out here on this page together, I think that watt 9 V would be the easiest because it's the same as the battery, or 12 V because it's the better headroom? Can we make a popular distinction pole between if you had a plug and all you had to do to use your honey amp was plug it in, instead of hunting on your knees and spider dead flies matters what do you do when you have no batteries because 9 V batteries were the 1970s & 1980's......?

And, I am saying this, in the most sincere, yet meaningful way I can. My health has become at risk. I cannot play my honey amp without my health, being at risk, at this point in my recovery from whatever blood infection is ailing me right now I don't know what it's called...M

Please accept my apologies for so many stupid words.
I am going to take us step-by-step, one thing by the next following thing, and I am going to put a one all forever and ever plug option into the honey amp alien sphere... (Of course, I will talk to Joe about that kind of thing separately, privately.)

I just am going crazy. I cannot stand another moment of breathing oxygen without knowing the answer of out of all those holes I just NEED to know two of them to plug the plug into. Why can no one tell me that answer I'm going off my rocker boys please help.

Right on.

It's these details in certain facets of life, that somehow tend to escape me....

I just wasn't sure if there may have been something pre-designated on the board, for executing such a mod/addition.

Thank you!

Q: What about power supply?  What should I use?
A: Most little amps like this end up being powered by batteries, but any stable DC voltage supply ranging from 6v to 18v will work depending on what impedance you have hooked to it.  Recommended max voltage for 4 ohm will be 9v, max for 8 ohm is 14v, max for 16 ohm is 16v.

So, the Hosa branded adjustable voltage adapter that I bought, is the ACD-477. It's 3v-12v @1,200mA. I imagine, it'll be 110v, & 50/60hz, as well. As, I am in the Americas. It's been a while since calculating any input voltage impedences, but I can only assume that this is a pretty standard Power Supply.

I have to remember to ask for help with connecting a barrel input jack, as well. Are there points on the board, for maybe trading this, for the battery clip jack spots....?

Fingers crossed!

Please & Thank You!!!!!

I'm not sure that I could put down the $600, for it.....

But, I would defintely put out the $600, play with it for a few days, and then make sure that they have a good return policy!

I'd LOVE to mess around with this BEAST, though!!!!!

It does sound pretty great! Absolutely!

I'm searching for the Max. Gain .1uf cap...

But, I also have been trying to figure out how to get a dc jack in there, as I bought a 9-12v adjustable voltage wall wart today.

The other recently constructed guitar pedals that I've built, all have given me some clues as to where that power jack MIGHT squeeze in there.....??

BUT, I am definitely going to need someone to just tell me the answer, insteAD. Hahaaha!

PLeeeeeease Advise.....?

....and, on that note.

Here is another Matt, with the exact opposite experience. Hahaha!

I couldn't find a decent enclosure, so I happened to find this Kleenex Box randomly, so.... Yep. I stuck it in a Kleenex Box.

For now, at least.

Just got mine yesterday, built it this morning, and have been digging around for cool enclosure ideas, all day today.....

I was just going to ask if there is a way to post photos, when I saw the attachments "+" just below.....

SUPER EXCITED to start seeing pics + videos get put up, soon enough!!!!!
