Title: Dean Markley Spectra 225A Solid state amp made a loud pop and then didn’t work
Post by: RyeChusDude on March 22, 2021, 03:50:38 PM
I was playing and then all of a sudden the app made this very loud pop and then the amp didn't work. There was no smoke. The main fuse looked OK and I didn't see any loose wires so I'm not sure exactly what happened. Hopefully someone can help me out on this.

The amplifier had a failure.
Take it to a tech.
Attached schematic.

Does the amp still turn on?  Is there any sound at all coming out of the speaker?

Amp does turn on. Get a small pop when turned on

Looks like it's off to tech land. Anyone know a good repair shop in Atlanta?
