Title: TDA2003 practice amp
Post by: joecool85 on April 02, 2006, 06:43:12 PM

There is an easy to put together kit for this too: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=320-214

I found it to be ok with guitar, but very poor with bass.  Quite frankly I like the Little Gem better though.

This looks like a fun project!!
I made a quick PCB for it.

It's not verified yet, though.

I have a question about this amp, it's possible to add a volume pot and a gain pot? If it's possible.......where can I put it?

As far as I know there isn't anything you can do with the gain on this amp, but you can easily add a volume knob by simply putting a potentiometer in line with the input.  I would suggest a 100k audio (log) pot.

I will try it and I will try to put anywhere a Gain Pot too, I think that every chip can work with a Gain Pot, the only one Problem is where to put it, but I'll investigate it.
